The Delovoy center is a newly opened station in Moscow metro. This station is unique and one of the biggest in Moscow.
Komsomolskaya is a Moscow Metro station. It is on the Koltsevaya Line, between Prospekt Mira and Kurskaya stations.
We start our new cycle of stories about Moscow Metro stations. The First will be the nearest station to our office, the Park Kultury.
This is one of the most beautiful stations of Moscow metro which reminds of underground palace. Bulky pylons trimmed with white Ural marble are decorated by colored stained glasses which creates — according to the idea of the author A.N. Dushkin — an impression of grotto.
At the end of the hall there is a picture “Piece in the whole world” by a famous master, national USSR artist D. Korin. “When mosaic picture was ready — recalled later construction manager, engineer T.V. Fedorov-due to composition change it had acquired a new meaning. Suddenly we and Korin himself realized that the female character reminds of Mother of God. I witnessed as once female plant workers who came to wash the station before the opening stopped in front of the mosaic in awe, ready to kneel”.
