Nordic jelly-drink – Kissel

russian Kissel

Kissel is a jelly-drink that’s very popular in Nordic countries. Its name is derived from a Slavic word meaning “sour”, as sour fruits are preferred.

Kissel can be served both hot and cold. It’s great on a warm summer day or when you are down with cold in winter.
It’s a bit strange for people who are unfamiliar with this texture, but its quite fun;)

You may buy it ready or make it at home.

Did you try already Kissel?
